My rbta just got sucked up into the power head and died. I don't know how long it's been there. How long would it take the poison to kill the livestock in the tank?

jebo what??? that doesn't state much...

anyway, i don't believe that a bta has "poison" that will nuke a tank. the ammonia / nutrient levels might rise if it's dead and decomposing. this would cause issues, but is an entirely different issue then "poisoning". maybe someone else has some proof of poisoning that i haven't read about? i have heard lot's of theories about poisoning, but not anything conclusive.

personally, i would recommend performing a water change, and test your params.

Had one die this way, all I did was change out my carbon, and water change (22-gal on a 150-gal tank), nothing was really effected.

I did about 30% water change
