Could this be uronema or possibly a sting from a tube anemone. It just showed up today on a firefish and my blue barred ribbonfish. They are eating fine. But the white patches are raised. I can’t get a good pick of the ribbonfish right now as it hides except for feeding time. Leaving for vacay tomorrow and freaking out now.

This looks to be neither but rather a small scratch or injury. It should heal on its own but keep an eye on it for development os sores or red mark which would then require treatment using Seachem neoplex in a separate tank

Uronema rarely, if ever infects long term captive fish, it almost always shows up within 45 days of getting a fish, and it is not usually contagious. Also, Uronema lesions are usually red and angled in the other direction. They are not raised, but actually go down into the fish as a "pit".

How long have you had these fish?

I hope it’s just an injury but if so im trying to figure out what caused it. These 2 and a damsel are new additions but I quarantined for a month before. Copper power up to 2.0. I did notice my melanarus acting like he was a cleaner wrasse with another fish but it didn’t seem to startle or bother the fish and I haven’t seen him messing with these two. I’ll try and get better Pictures of the ribbonfish. He worse.

I’ll be offline until Monday morning, if you can post an update with pics I’ll check them then.

Can you clarify - you said 'copper power up to 2.0' - did you mean copper power above 2.0?

It could be a sting from the anemone - but doesn't really explain why more fish are affected. Looks like injury, though, but better and white light pictures would help - as well as from the fish thats not doing as well. Additionally the damsels could be an issue (bullying)
