Anyone have any idea how to disconnect the wires from the plug?

You probably need a "terminal pin removal tool" or whatever you can find around the house of the appropriate dimensions.

They probably remove from the rear with a Pin Extraction Tool. I used to work with commercial and mil connectors all the time and there a literally thousands of different types of extractor and inserters.

This isn’t a style of plug I’m familiar with!

It definitely disassembles, there are clear seams between components…

Look up “deutsch connectors” to get an idea of how some popular styles of plugs are assembled and pinned! — this should at least get you started!

Mine was burnt and I just clipped the wires to get rid of the connector, but it's a pain to attach wires a new adapter, Aqua told me to use solder on the wires and a needle nose plier to insert them back in, but I have had no luck in getting the wires to snap inside the terminal.

Its supposed to be a push connector, so they should just connect like that (assuming correct gauge wire)

I got the Aqua brand adapter and have the original wires, still it's a pain to get them to snap, I thought it would be a simple process. I might get one of the 709-1 adapter with wires connected and join the wires.

Yes, the jacket gets stuck, uneven tried nose pliers. Would some thing like this work? Does the filament 1 and 2 wire order make any difference?
