Hey All,
Just starting up a new reef tank, been a bit busy the last few months and just got around to etablishing a new tank in my new house. Excited to get back into it even though my wallet isn't.
In the past, I've ran into issues with Ich, and even post QT, I've had it end up in my display tank. This time, I totally want to stay away from it and will be following strict QT guides, but as another defense mechanism, I was looking into getting a UV sterlizer in order to be a sort of last line of defense (I know it will only be able to eliminate free floating).
I have a 23 gallon Tideline bowfront paired with a 75 gallon Seachem Tidal HOB - so in terms of UV lights, I've seen the Aqua Imports one, but I don't have the plumbing necessary in order to add that into the system so it seems like my best bet is one of those internal filters. I've attached the link below on Amazon. Off my readings, it's suggested to be around a watt per gallon is on the safe side.
Any thoughts on this particular one? Any other suggestions for the tank?
Appreciate all the help!
