Hi all, I am heading on vacation for a few days and have someone staying at the house and tending to the tank. They are taking care of dry/frozen foods but I don’t want to burden them with dealing with the nori magnet as they aren’t really a get your hands wet from the tank person.

Wondering if I’d be able to preload a few nori strips in the magnet prior to leaving without any/many ill effects to the tank. Usually a full sheet is gone is 6 hours or so. I was thinking of taking 3 sheets and rolling them up tight and putting it in. Any thoughts are appreciated!

When I go away I break the nori sheets into small pieces, put them on individual paper towels and write the day of the week I want them fed on the paper towel. That way all my tank sitter needs to do is drop it in once a day (along with the other foods they’re feeding, which are also pre-portioned).

How big is the tank? I’ve put a full sheet in when going away for a couple days in about 200 gallon system.

Never has been an issue. Stick in there what you think the fish will go through in a couple days.
