Hi!

I just got 2x VCA RFG for my Red Sea Reefer 1000G2+ to replace the standard outlets from the return pumps.

Based on several Online Stores and VCA website the one that fits my tank is the 3/4 Random Flow Generator Flow Kit.

I've been trying to make them fit but I really don't find a way to do so.
I'm not sure if I'm just not handy enough or what but I decided to write here to see how people have done this upgrade.

Any help is welcome.

@Vivid Creative Aquatics maybe?

Thanks!

Please done do that - the flex material would deform pretty quicky
Thanks for the clarification but could you please help me out here?

To me the size does not match the pipe of my return pumps. And out of the 3 adapters im using the one that supposedly fits my tank.

Do you have pictures or video showing how to fit this?

Thanks!

That kit includes a few adapters - the one you'll want to use is the 3035-series Multidapter. It will have the numbers "3035" and "075" embossed on the inside

That adapter will slip-fit OVER the stock outlet, once you remove the extension.

It looks from your photo that you already removed that extension.

The adapter that is circled, will fit over the stock outlet. It will be a snug fit, so you may have to work it on there, but it will fit.

Once that's attached, then you can connect the RFG with the Loc-line to the fitting.

I heated it with hot water from the faucet. Ot just expanded and softened a bit.
That's OK. That wouldn't be enough heat to cuase any issues.

The thing with with flex materal is, it tends to be able take a lot of heat - until it can't. Which is ussual at least a 8 to 10 seconds before it shows any signs of deformation.

Amazing customer service from Antonio @Vivid Creative Aquatics !! 🙌🏼

I called him this morning and he explained how to insert the new adapter.

Here it is!
I'll take some pics of the tank once I clean the glass 😬

Glad I was able to get you taken care of.

We try an make our products as easy to install as possible, but I do realize that what we consider "easy" , may not always be obvious.

I'm making that one of our goals for the second half of this year - to make more content that shows how to install a Random Flow Generator. We have kits and fitting that basically cover 95% of all aquariums on the market today today, and just about every plumbing standard from imperial to metric and even a few in between.

If you (or anyone else) need any addental help - as always, please do not hessite to reach out - we can reach us by phone, email, Direct message, or even tagging us here. :-)
