Vectra Rust

Is this normal wear for a vectra? Pump is 2.5 years old and was run internally on a constant speed.

How often would you clean it? That looks like normal calcification and bio build up.

Thanks! It has been a while since last cleaning. I had it soaking in vinegar overnight, but it was closed. Will keep it open and soak again and see what happens.

Took it out to give it a quick brushing. Nothing that feels like calcium build up and nothing that cleaned out of it. Also noticed that the end appears melted and found that they have done a redesign since I purchased...
