Order $400 worth of corals/fish for delivery Tuesday. . . Nothing shows up and no contact, so I call and am told items will ship Wednesday for Thursday delivery. . . Nothing shows up and no contact. I call again and am told we will probably ship them soon maybe you will get them Friday and "it's ok to cancel your order if you dont want the items anymore". . . Of course I still want them!!!! I JUST DONT WANT IT SITTING ON MY PORCH FOR HOURS WHEN NO ONE IS HOME!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!

Am I a crazy person that if I pay good money and select a shipping date that date should be honored or I should be notified!? I feel like I'm taking CRAZY PILLS!

This has been going on for a couple years and has gotten bad in the last year.
I don't see how anyone could have missed the warnings.

My suspicion is that they don't actually have the livestock they're selling, and that their internal protocols dictate that an animal has to survive a certain amount of time in their holding system before they ship.

So when you place an order with them, you're not ordering from animals they have in a shippable state. You're triggering them to place an order with their wholesaler for the animal. That animal then ships to them, and they receive it. Then they wait for X amount of time, and if it's still alive at that point they ship it. If it dies, then the process starts over again.

That would be consistent with what people have experienced in terms of delays, in terms of animal health, and in terms of their behavior. But beyond the fact that it fits with what we've seen from them, I of course have no proof that's what's actually happening.
