So I got this 40B versatop when I purchased a girls entire reefing supply (only $100!) as she was getting out of the hobby. The top is literally .250 inches... One quarter of an inch to big. Is there a way I can shave this off or sand it down? Maybe a dremel? I know to cut glass you score it and snap it but that's a small piece to try to get leverage and snap. I've posted pictures and your advice is very much welcomed!

Not sure if those are tempered. Thats first thing to check. Using a white screen on your phone or laptop put it behind the glass and with polorized sunglasses rotate the view angle to check for temper. You should be able to google what it will look like if it is tempered. I dont recall it enough to explain. Then you can go about cutting it down. Sanding takes forever though. I would score it good then if you have a dremel with the right attachment follow the score. I have the benefit of a glass company that will do small things like that for me.
