VHO vs T5s

I’m pretty new to the this but this is my experience.
I had S.A. VHO's then just recently went to the 454 VHO's. The 454's are much nicer to look at IMO. They have a nice blue color vs. the purple almost Black Light look of the S.A. and the Coral look much better under the 454's

My friend and I have a couple of the same corals and for the most part they look practically the same under the different lighting types.

I wonder why all his corals look brown and yellow then, as soon as i brought them under T5s they changed completely.
