I’ve read dosing vibrant can make nitrates undetectable. Would it be counterproductive to does nitrates while using vibrant? Using vibrant to get rid of some bubble algae

I do just that.
My problem wasn't bubble algae though. I haven't had any trouble with Dino's as some have reported. So far good results.

Yeah, I think it will help preventing the nitrates bottoming out. Did you use it for regular algae or something?

I dose loudwolf sodium nitrate (highly recommend it) along with Vibrant. It has taken MONTHS of dosing my 34 gal display to get my bubble algae down to just a few here and there but it is effective IF you stick with it and are consistent. I ended up increasing dosing to 2x per week but SLOWLY. Almost at the end of my first bottle but I'm down to just a handful of bubble as opposed to just a handful of bare spots on my rock :)

You don't want no3 or po4 bottoming out during Vibrant treatment (or any other time for that matter) so keep an eye on it. They will drop slightly faster when dosing Vibrant.
