Several weeks ago, I ordered a variety of fan worms and two misc. frags from Violet Aquarium. When my order arrived (admittedly, quite quickly) I was completely missing one of the 2 hard shell coco worms I ordered, and the "Orange Lace coral" had been dead long enough to be a piece of rock with coralline algae growing on it in small patches.
I reached out to them via email explaining that I was missing something I ordered, and bringing up that while I understood they don't cover DOA on coral, the piece I received appears to have been long dead. Their response said they would check with the packer about the coco worm, and requesting a video of the Lace coral, which I provided that same day. 5 days later I got a reply stating: "The truth is, sometimes the orange lace comes in color variations, and it is not dead.", the coral that was identical to my live rock, and has 1-2mm spots of coralline algae dotting its body was apparently a color variation. They also re-stated they would check with the packer and get back to me about the coco worm I didn't receive.
I never received that follow-up. I checked back in with them a full week later asking for any updates, but now a full 22 days from my first email I've never received another response. I've since had to dispute that portion of the charge with my FI.
