Hello, I currently have an aquatic life 60” T5 hybrid light over my 6’ 125 gallon 2 month old tank. It’s currently just housing a few fish and I’ll be looking to start adding coral soon I’m looking to have an sps dominant mixed reef and after some research I’m looking to add 3 165watt viparspectra lights to the t5. Has anybody combined the 2 and how did you mount the led’s to the t5? I’m also curious to if anybody has had success with this combo. Thanks in advance.

Seeing what your t5 fixture looks like might help.

3 Viparspectra led fixtures alone will grow coral just fine, adding the t5's probably makes it even better.

It’s this model light. I already have the fixture so I’m just wondering if anybody has used this combo and if the lights can be mounted to it easily.

The Viparspectra's might need to be mounted under/below the T5's to make it work....
I think the 165w Viparspectras are around 8.5" wide and that mount only has like 7" between the T5 tubes. If I'm looking at the thing right. So the black box lights will not sit up flush in the space between the T5's, they will have to mount down below.

I did something similar using aluminum angle for my Ocean Revive fixture.

The viparspectra lights won't fit into that fixture. I'd recommend some AI primes or kessils. I had black box lighting before. It isn't the most visually appealing
