Hello Everyone,

I am curious if anyone owns Bubble Tip Anemones inside their fish tank under ViparSpectra lightings!
I have bought this led light recently and I’ve done research about the light before buying it. I’ve heard many great things about the light and wanted to give it a try with anemones! I run a 40 gallon Breeder salt water fish tank. It’s a fallow fish tank cycling at the moment! Like I mentioned in the beggining, I plan on keeping a singular Bta in my 40 gallon Breeder with a clownfish paired with it since my local fish store sells them at a small decent size.

I am also asking if anyone who lives in San Jose, CA or anywhere nearby San Jose that owns a Par meter that I can borrow so I can read the Par that my Viparspectra 165W gives at 6 inches above water level!

If anyone knows a lot about the ViparSpectra led lights, I would appreciate to know a lot more about it!

I’m not sure of the par numbers but I’ve seen numerous tanks running them and they grow anything just fine.
Yeah, I also seen many tanks grow corals and anemones pretty well! Though I’m just curious about the right % for blues and whites for bta’s so they get their right amount of PAR because Bta’s need par from 220 - 350. I’m not so sure if that’s how much PAR they need but I know they hardy anemones. Thanks for replying though!

This BTA under 3 Visparspectra 165W
50% blue 1% white was enough for everyone.
14” above water and 22” down.
If that reference helps.
Consider this light very intense at 100%.

Thanks! This really helps, since I only own One ViparSpectra 165 W, I will have the blues at somewhat 70 or 60% mainly because your bta is under 3 Viparspectras even though I own 1. Makes a different for the amount of Par your tank is receiving with 3 ViparSpectras. With all that thanks for helping me out!

Yes but I’m 180g and your 40g so more space, more light, less space, less light IMM.

When I PAR tested it, it was 650 at the surface at 100% right under the light.

At 50% it was 300 surface, 150.175 mid, 80-120 bottom, 50 in the corners.

The light is strong. Grows anything, but start low and move up.

5 years running so good quality thus far.
