Hi! I have mostly ViperSpectra165w LED lights for our tanks... I would like to control these with a reef pi, but am unsure of the pinout on the "Well-lit" Drivers...

Does anyone by chance have a pinout diagram, or know how to figure it out if it's unmarked on both the driver and control board? The connector for the driver has 4 wires.

Thank you in advance!!!

I've used them before. I always found them really complicated. I just went and bought kessil lights.

Maybe a read through this thread will give you the answers you need.

I have the viparspectra board designed by Michael Lane to control my viparspectra and added a chain of blue leds for a moonlight.

im sure you can botch together some parts or if you want the gerber files to the adapters and get them made cheap at the likes of JLCBCB have a look at his Github:

The ML Reefkeeping Adapter is sold out, but that looks like the easiest way to get these up and running with ReefPi. But I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to use the Gerber files with JLCBCB to get a reasonable price. Are there any newbie-friendly how-tos available?

I printed a bunch of them and I sent @Ranjib some maybe he still has some, how many are you looking for I may still have some. I placed an order with one of the PCBway and had some made up. Everything you need is on Michael's github site - https://github.com/Ranthalion/viparspectra-adapter/tree/master/gerbers

I think @theatrus had some made but I could be thinking about something else.

By chance do you have a component list for these? And maybe the goby as well?
I'm good with the gerber files but couldn't find any type of BOM on his github, or if you have some already made up I would gladly buy them from you
Thanks

It's been a while since I looked but I had a bunch made up and the parts list should be on the site did you start at his original Tindie site - https://www.tindie.com/products/ranthalion/viparspectra-adapter/ all of the files you would need to make them are referenced from that page where it lists the design files. I made both goby's and viparspectra boards, I had them place most of the components except the through hole connectors and one other part that due to covid was hard to find. I sourced locally and finished that part. The bom is listed in the gerbers as a .csv file and should have all the parts listed.

Either way I ordered the hats from JLCPCB and for the vipar it was from PCBWAY, there is probably a way that I can somehow share my order or send it to you since I could reorder from the page what I did in the past. But the other question would be how many do you need, I think I may have some hats and vipar boards around but would need to go look and see what I have. I know I have a couple boards with all the parts not soldered on but I think I have some complete boards also, again would need to check.

I'm needing 2 hats and 6 adapters
I've got pcb's ordered but wouldn't mind having spares for the future lol
Never enough tanks and reef-pi is cheap enough to implement on all of them
