Just give it a day or two to see if it straightens itself out. It’s not going to get PMD by handling it, you would have to introduce the pathogen, which I spent I has happened.Just noticed this near the back today, hopefully it’s not PMD. I did pick up the clam over the weekend to snap off some vermitids, not sure if that might have hurt it somehow.

I try not to touch it much but I do need to clear off the vermitids on occasion. The mantle is a bit curled still but not much… pretty sure I see a vermitid in that area that might be causing it.It looks great, and it's growing well. Don't pick it up anymore please! It stresses me out to see you doing it, so I can imagine what it's doing to the clam.![]()
I get it. I had a huge Derasa clam that had pyramid snails I constantly had to remove. It was so big it used to squirt me in the face with it's siphon.I try not to touch it much but I do need to clear off the vermitids on occasion.
