Good morning. I am new to dosing my FOWLR tank (70 gallon) I’ve read every piece of info possible and completely understand that the cloudy water is due to bacteria growth.

I started a few weeks ago following the charts and starting at .1/25 gallons. Ever since hitting the 1ml mark, the water has been hazy constantly. The skimmer is running very wet and so far, the nitrates have not budged. (25ppm)

My question is what next? Continue with the charts, back-off, stop for a few days, etc? Thank you.

If your seeing cloudy water(bacterial blooms) then you need to backup one step. It will take a while to start seeing any improvements.

The vodka is 80 proof. I know 25 isn’t crazy high. As mentioned I am fairly new to the hobby. Once established further I would like to move toward a reef setup. I just want to take it slow. Thanks.

I've never seen vodka that isn't 40% / 80 proof...and I like vodka.
