Gordi .... I use the 'NOPOX recipe' below after switching from bio-pellets as a carbon source. It's been easier to dial in my nitrate target level using a dosing application. The why's are covered in numerous threads....one link is below.

I only use the good vodka. I know this because it says so right on the bottle:

I purchase the least expensive I can find because it doesn't make any difference....you're buying ethanol, and they all have ethanol. Just don't buy the flavored stuff, although it most likely wouldn't make a difference. Most recently I'm finding Travelers Club Vodka for $12.99 for 1.75 liters in New Jersey.
And if you don’t trust the label, go ask Gary;)
