I am thinking of adding a Vrolik's Wrasse (Halichoeres Chrysotaenia) to help with any pests/parasites I may have in my tank, I think it's such a beautiful fish, can anyone tell me what makes this fish "semi" reef compatible?

Let's see if we can get some help with your question...

What about Cleaners and Tiger Pistols / other Alpheus sp.?
Those should be safe, so long as they're not <1" and added right in front of them. In that case, all bets are off.

I kept a Vrolik's for years and he never bothered my blood shrimp, cleaner shrimp or pistols. He also never bothered any snails that I know of. He was a model citizen that I had for about 7 years.

My Vrolik from about 1.5 to 5 inches. Not quite a male yet however. I initially though that I have a Melanurus, I actually bought her as a Melanurus. I tried to continue to take pictures of her/him as she/he changes
6/21/2018, about 1.5 inches

More picture of this wrasse. I am not certain that it is a Vrolik's wrasse at this time. Maybe it have not completely turn full male. All the wrasse in my tank fully developed so I am fairly certain that this is a full male now after 5 years in my tank.
