My tank sits on a not so pretty stand and the wall above it is blank space. I would love to make it look inviting and pretty, but not take away from the tank itself. Any ideas? Can I see pictures of your tank and wall decorations?

I used chalk paint. No fumes and it looks great.https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/finally-painted-my-stand-in-place.741940/

I'm not sure there's anything that won't take away from the tank! I have the same issue and this is what i did (please excuse the mess!)....

Sorry, I meant to send a picture. image.jpg This is your standard Aqueon black stand, I used chalk paint and that was it. You don’t have to sand it or anything special like with regular paint.

That looks great, I definitely need to paint it. What made you go with chalk paint?

The fact that I couldn’t move the tank. With chalk paint you don’t have to prep the area other than really gross stuff like wiping salt creep off. It’s water based so you can clean up accidents extremely easy and best of all it doesn’t give off fumes. The main thing is to make sure you go over it with wax when you’re done. It makes it water proof and looks just like regular latex. I’m surprised more people don’t know about it. I love it.

Thanks for the advice, I will check it out. I would love to do a grayish/blue and add a handle.

I didn't like the Red Sea cabinet in black, so I wrapped mine in removable wallpaper. Was stationed in Kaneohe, so the rest of the basement is Hawaii themed!

This looks great, love the idea of decorating with paper. The theme you have going is perfect! thanks for sharing.

I found some metal art on Etsy...

Thanks! I really like the paper- easy to change if you get sick of it or redecorate!
