I dunno, an $8000 aquarium probably uses $6500 in materials. How can the builder warranty the silicone after 20 years? How can the builder guarantee the end user didn’t leave the tank empty on his patio in Phoenix for years on end? How can the builder guarantee the tank was always supported properly or didn’t ever have its seams rammed with a glass scraper for years on end? A lifetime warranty doesn’t make sense for the builder in those scenarios.
On the flip side, my 2017 Corvette needs a cam and lifters replaced, for $80,000 one would think it should come with a lifetime warranty right?
Let’s be realistic in our expectations good sir.
