I'm looking for a new washer and gas dryer. We're looking at the front loaders for their efficiency. Anyone here own one that they can comment on or recommend? We are checking out the Maytag, Whirlpool and LG in the $7-800 price point.

We took awhile to pick out our new Washer/Dryer. We finally went with the Top load washer from Maytag Bravos 5.0 cubic feet with sanitary cycle for sheets and whatnot. Its build with commerical components and is also rated just as high for effeciency and is H.E. without the headaches of a front load like mold, and not being able to stop the wash on some models. Actually can save more water than the front loaders because it uses less water because it weighs the load. The fronts always use the same amount of water.

The matching front loading gas Dryer has all the cool stuff like steam wrinkle release, and a keep fresh mode that will cycle dry for 5 min every 20 to keep cloths wrinkle free until you get to it.
