Watched thread emails?

I stopped getting emails when someone posts to a thread I'm watching. Is this new? I see that you can click on "watched threads" and check the box for email, but I'm wondering if this is a new change.

Thye bar above the post has 4 symbols. The 3rd to the right is a bookmark and should save thread for you

If you get an email for a watched thread you have to go back into that thread again to get another email for future updates. If you just look at the email and don’t click into the thread then you will not get any more emails about it.

Ah, that explains it, thank you. Don't know how I never realized that.
