So I get one day off from work a week and I normally start my day off early in my office where my tank is located. Just wanted to see who is all doing water changes and how you do it. I only do 5 gallons a week for my 29 biocube. Is it possible to get away with less water changes. Like once every to weeks or once a month. I dont mind doing them I actually enjoy getting hands on. My tank is still with out a refugium or a skimmer right now hoping to get both of them soon. Would they help with less water changes.

You can try it. You will just have to watch your nutrients.

I do 5 gallons every 1-2 weeks in my 29 gallon biocube. I also have a skimmer that I run every other day overnight, I don't seem to have any issues. Looks like your tank is relatively new, do you have any corals, or just LR and sand right now?

Yea it's been running now for 5 months. I have gsp kenya tree a hammer and couple polys and a mushroom.. also have 1 clown 1 firefish 1 goby

From my understanding, if you don't have a skimmer you should probably stick to once a week water changes.
I got rid of my skimmer (not worth the hassle & extra noise in my opinion) and do 2.5 gallon water changes a week in my 13.5 gallon tank.
