So I like to do regular water changes on my 40 breeder during quarantine, but this is the first time I'm doing copper, so wanted to get a second set of eyes on my math.

So I'm dosing coppersafe at 2ml per gallon, so I'm up to 80ml and everyone seems fine. For each 5 gallon bucket I'm going to remove, I'll be putting 10 ml back in.

I've been testing with the api test kit, but it isn't very accurate from what I've read in other threads and the color is almost always below what I know I've been dosing. Thanks!

Use your test kit to make sure the copper is in the correct in the water. Using the bottle directions to keep track of the copper levels isn't a good idea. You'll need to dose however much you need to get the levels at 2ppm. If that's a bit more than the directions state, then that's fine. Coppersafe tends to come out lower than therapeutic levels when used as directed.
