I have a 65 gallon Reed tank and have two 800gph powerheads. 1 on each side and a return pump of 850gph with it going up 4 feet to the tank. Show I add one more powerhead to the middle back of the tank?

Judge the flow by what it does in the tank. Numbers don’t tell the whole story. Rock work changes the flow dramatically. So those heads in your tank could be perfect, but in mine with the same tank it could be way too much.

Blow some dust off the rocks or use some food. Watch the clouds swirl , look for dead spots , high spots and low spots. You’ll know if it way too much or if it’s dead. You want high and lows in places for different coral. You just want to find the happy medium.
