Hello all I bet this is an easy question but how do I raise the water level in my DT ?
I have a waterbox 110.5 and right now it's about a 1/4 inch maybe going into the overflow into the sump.
Is this normal ?
To raise the level just add more water ?
My sump can handle more when I shut the pumps off I still have like 6 7 inches
I think I tried to add more water once and it only made my sump level higher and not the tank
Any ideas?
See pic
I dont want it much higher just like a 1/4 inch

What type of siphon drain do you have? To raise the water level of the DT, you need to raise the intake (durso or bean animal) or in the case of herbie, emergency overflow and increase the return from the sump.
As you noted, adding water to the DT will only raise the water level in the sump.

Adding more water to the system raises the level in the sump not the display. I'm not familiar with that specific tank but usually there isn't much of a way to raise the water level in the display unless there is some adjustment to the overflow. Turning up the return pump would raise it slightly but only a very small amount.

No experience with that tank, but I think it is pretty normal. You want to have a little cushion in the DT in case the overflow gets blocked or else you would have an overflow/flood event.

I must have a herbie since I have the emergency then the regular.
I thought it was higher before but it must have been always this way
So raise the emergency and increase the pump

Maybe I'm just board lol. Really where do you guys have y ok ur level? I just never noticed that it's really at the bottom end of the teeth on the overflow but tank is doing great so probably should mess with it lol

I doubt your overflow plumbing is designed to be adjusted (again not sure with that tank), but ultimately if you can't adjust the teeth on the overflow then you cant really adjust the water level. Turning up the return pump will cause the water level to raise slightly, but not enough to worry about. I agree with @Spieg that your level looks good to me. I personally think your trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

I’m not familiar with your drain type . But from the slotted overflow the slots need to be higher which isn’t as easy to do without replacing or covering existing parts .

I will say ..
I have a 20000 l dc pump for my return pump which I can adjust .
if I turn it to 100% the level in the dt raisea .
but only because the drain won’t drain fast enough to keep up .
