Water pump?

Will be adding salt to my tank soon will it make it dissolve faster if I put in a water pump I have 2 laying around.

Yes it will help it mix faster. Always add the salt to the water, not the other way around. Of course it doesn't hurt to mix the initial fill in the tank but for water changes you will need to make and mix the water in a separate container. Use a pump for that as well.
