Hey guys. I could use some info. My frag tank test were all good but I tested my 90g reef and pow! Alk was @ 6! But magnesium was 1600, calcium 600 and pH 8. I do my manual dosing and it has been all good for months. Tank has been running over 3 yrs. I have majority LPS but recently got into sps. I have a bonsai acro that's growing well with polyp extension. I tested the alk 3 times and all were 6. Can everything else be so high with alk that low?

Alk is always the first to go low. Most time's you'll need to dose more alk then Ca.
But I'd be more concerned with that high Ca. What test kit are you using?

Raise ur alk and cal will drop mag should drop too.

I had my alk pump go out and my alk dropped to 5.2 but call was still 470... Bring it up and watch the rest of the levels

good luck

SPS do much better with overnight shipping. That said, I had a well-renowned vendor screw up a couple years ago and forget to ship a pair of clowns and a SPS colony Saturday Delivery. They labeled the package Priority Overnight, instead. So, they sat in the box from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. All lived and are doing just fine to this day. I would never recommend that, however.
