A while ago I saw someone had made a 3D print or a plate to section the Waterbox skimmer area in half to turn the first part into a refugium. Does anyone have a link to this or could help me out?

Can't you cut a piece of acrylic to fit?
 
I used a acclimation box for my sump to skimmer works great and takes up little room
