Hello everyone! I’ve been looking in these forums for awhile now but never made an account lol. I’ve had only 1 saltwater tank before this new marine x tank and I’m excited to get started on this build.

12/11/20 Cabinet lighting

I decided to install a hue light bar in the cabinet so that I could work inside the sump and be able to see everything clearly. Love the way it came out!!

Finished the scape today. Liking the way it came out. Not completely glued together because I need to sleep on it and see if I like it tomorrow.

Nice build! Looking forward to your updates.

Your equipment information is super helpful for me as I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my X 60.2 which I ordered on 17-Nov.

I actually changed up my equipment. I went with all ecotech marine stuff. Radion xr15 gen 5, mp40, and vectra s2. I wanted everything on the Mobius app lol. Sent the skimmer back as well waiting for the great white g5 skimmer to be back in stock at unique corals. Might be overkill on a 60.2 but I’m looking at the long haul when I upgrade it can all be transferred.

It’ll be nice to have everything on Mobius, for sure. I’m super new to all of this but ordered a random smorgasbord of equipment for my tank:

- NYOS Viper 3.0 return pump
- Reef Octo NWB-110 skimmer
- Reed Octo Octo Pulse 2 Wave Pump
- Aqua Duetto ATO
- JBJ True Temp 300W Titanium Heating System

I’ll be running the stock AI Prime 16HD for the foreseeable future. I would also like to add a UV sterilizer to the tank long term, but haven’t decided which one to go with yet.

Finally got it dialed it with the help of someone on the waterbox group on Facebook lol. Quiet as ever! Going to hook up my ATO later on. For now I’m done.

So I ordered some metric to standard unions from CoralVue the other day so I can eventually switch to standard plumbing because I have plans to change the sump out on this system. Realized after I placed the order that I won’t be able to use 2 of the unions because my emergency drain and return are a different style

Now my plan is to convert the plumbing for the emergency drain and return using the @Bulk Reef Supply metric to standard adapters and slip them into the metric bulk head. Since the tank is running I tracked down the company who makes the bulk heads waterbox uses and I’ll work on the plumbing outside the tank and do the conversion that way. Flowcolour is the company and they’re on aliexpress in case anybody needs replacement waterbox plumbing parts.

Lid came in today from kraken reef. I must say this thing is sweet. Perfect fit on top of the tank and no clips needed like the stock lid on the innovative marine tank I used to have. Edges are nice and clean. Overall I’m happy with the product. From order to delivery took about 2 weeks so not too far off the estimate lead time on their website which I completely understand considering what’s going on in the world and the crazy shipping times with all carriers. Highly recommend @Kraken Reef to anybody looking for a lid on their tank.
