Did you ever get around to switching up your plumbing?
That’s still on the list to do. I’m waiting on 2 bulkheads from China lol. Other than that I have all the things I need. I’m probably going to wait on actually doing it since I might change the sump out and rather do it then.

Got a few goodies in the mail today. First is the feeder door I got from neat aquatics since I ordered my lid from kraken reef without a feed door. Which I regret because it would’ve looked better built in lol. This works great tho and it was cheap and easy to install.

Second thing to come in was the flowcolour bulk heads I was waiting on from China to finish my metric to standard plumbing conversion.

Now that I have all the plumbing stuff I’m going to start looking into sumps to replace this stock one.

Man, you're really going all out on this... why are you replacing the stock sump?

Where did you end up buying the fittings? I am adding a manifold to mine and though it would be nice to have matching plumbing.

You have to go on alibaba. I can provide the link if you want. The easier way without waiting is to just unglue the pvc from the return plumbing and buy the bulk reef supply metric to standard fittings. The only reason I ordered the bulk heads from China was because my tank is already wet and I want the switch to be quick.

Was going to post last night but I was so ticked off I just went to bed. Was going to put the skimmer in the sump and the skimmer cup fell off the counter and broke. Lucky me!

Bummer, I hate it when stuff like that happens.

Thanks for the info on the plumbing. I am going to make a manifold with 3 outlets off my return so that I can run a refugium and 2 other things if needed in the future.

I will start my build thread soon, as I have most everything, but I am still many weeks away from being able to add water.

I actually changed up my equipment. I went with all ecotech marine stuff. Radion xr15 gen 5, mp40, and vectra s2. I wanted everything on the Mobius app lol. Sent the skimmer back as well waiting for the great white g5 skimmer to be back in stock at unique corals. Might be overkill on a 60.2 but I’m looking at the long haul when I upgrade it can all be transferred.
Tank looks awesome I also have the exact same equipment in my 60.2 have you ever considered instead of a skimmer making it a refugium

Lid came in today from kraken reef. I must say this thing is sweet. Perfect fit on top of the tank and no clips needed like the stock lid on the innovative marine tank I used to have. Edges are nice and clean. Overall I’m happy with the product. From order to delivery took about 2 weeks so not too far off the estimate lead time on their website which I completely understand considering what’s going on in the world and the crazy shipping times with all carriers. Highly recommend @Kraken Reef to anybody looking for a lid on their tank.

Sorry I haven’t had any updates to this build. I tested positive for covid Friday so I’ve been taking it easy. Hopefully this is out of my system soon it’s been miserable not being able to test or smell anything. Will be posting soon again.

Get well soon! No rush on your build - we have an over abundance of other reading on here in the meantime. ;)

Man I feel like I’ve had nothing but bad luck since the last time I posted here lol. Recovered from covid then a few weeks later landed in the hospital for an inflamed appendix that had to get taken out. Then right back in the hospital 2 weeks later because an abscess formed from the surgery. Anyways...I feel so much better now and I’ve been tinkering with the tank here and there. Finally got the Dalua skimmer on a stand and it’s working great now! Had a custom stand made to raise it 2.5 inches so it can run at daluas recommendation.
