got a great piece of watermelon chalice when I bought some rock off of Craig's list. Unfortunately it started to die because my tank wasn't quite ready yet. I broke off the the part was dying and figured that rest would just die off. Well little over a month later and it is growing well.
Here is what it looked like when I got it. :(

And here is the picture of what it looked like when I broke it off and a pic of it today. :)

Hopefully it will keep growing. Also looks like the Zoas below have grown some new heads.

I'm using led lights. 2 120w fixture by maxspect. To be honest I have no clue what my prams are. I haven't tested my tank in like a month and just did my first water change last week in like 3-4 weeks. Last time I did test PO4 was very high calc was fairly low and nitrates were north of 80. So I'm probably no help. Also the side of the tank this is on I am having light problems so it is a totally mystery to me why they are growing like they are.

Im running a 2 bulb t5 with a blue LED reef brite bar and my palys and euphilia seem to be growing great but my zoas, mushroom, chalice, and galaxia seem to be just surviving but not thriving.

My buddy had a chalice, not sure what type. He couldn't get it to grow till he put it in a shaded area then it took off! So it makes sense that yours is doing well in an area that you have light issues.
