Its come to the time to clean my wavemakers in my tank….. what are people using to clean them and where are you buying it from….. Been looking and there’s crystals, powder or liquid for citric acid…

Use the granulated anhydrous version. Looks like fine salt or sugar.

Mix with water. I use about 250ml of citric acid per 4 liters of water and let it soak overnight.

The stuff usually needs no scrubbing and blows away with the hose sprayer!
Even stubborn coralline.

No problem. You can adjust it to your liking. This is a rather strong concentration that works great on hard calcified growths.
