Wave maker for saltwater mixing

Jebao SOW 20. Cheap works great. But I found after each use it's best to rinse them off.

Last question, what type of bulkhead should I be getting? Threaded? Slip?
I have threaded at the storage tank because that’s what was already installed when I bought them.

Also… I sent you a video in a conversation that might explain better my set up

Just finished most of the plumbing. Have to just run the RO line into tank on right. Thanks for all your help. It’s not as pretty as yours haha. Blue tanks is all I could get ahold of and don’t worry the metal bracket up top comes completely off and isn’t necessary for the lid. Being able to just recirculate using the pump is great for mixing. Thanks again!

Looks good. Having the big opening will come in handy.

I wish I could redo my tanks, I would ensure the lids had a much bigger opening. I can’t tell you how much salt has gone down the side and ended up on the floor.

How are you moving water into the storage tank?

You can just use the same pump to mix your saltwater.

In the below, my rodi storage tank is on the left and saltwater on the right. I use a return pump set between them and change valves to direct the water as needed. When I want to mix salt, I just recirculate the right tank in a closed loop for a few hours. Ive never had the need to add anything inside the tank to mix it up. I just loop it around for a few minutes before I need to actually use it to make sure I nothing has settled.

Hi sorry to dig up an old thread, but i love your setup.
Can you tell me where you got the water storage tanks? what size are they?

They are 65 gallons each. I got them at a farm and irrigation supply store in a nearby city. Sometimes you can find them at Home Depot, Lowe’s, or tractor supply. But if you search water storage tanks near me, some options will hopefully come up.

If I were starting over and know what I do now, I’d opt for tanks with ideally a flat top for drilling the inlet pipe and a wider cap for easy salt addition while the pump was running.

Check Facebook marketplace near you. I got used 55 gallon drums that had vinegar in them. They are white with gallon indicators and translucent enough to see the water level from outside.
