Hi everyone, I've got bunch of torch coral that I like when they sway back and forth. I have two MP40's on my 100 gallon, these are posted on opposite ends of the tank. I also have a Tunze wavebox that I did not like because of the real estate it took.

When I clean the tank, I create a back and forth motion to blow the stuff off the corals.

I'm looking to make a simple machine that creates a wave similar to a pendulum attached to a paddle.

If I could take a dog toy that wags his tail and replace it with a paddle, that would ultimately be a start.

Thanks!

I use a Wavebox which does exactly that. You set the strength of the wave in addition to the amount of time in between each wave. All LPS just sways back and forth.
