Where should I put my wave maker it’s a 40gallon water box and it’s going to be a euphyllia dominant tank with frogspawns and hammers and some torches and gonis and mushrooms and more

If it helps mine is 3/4 of the way up in the middle and I have a 30 gal cube

It would probably look better on the back wall, you can barely see it on the right in this pic

I would place it in a position which compliments the return flow, have the 2 flows somewhat bounce off each other to create random flow patterns.
