I like my tank to be as perfect as possible and can't stand streaks, salt residue and drip marks on my tank front. So, after I work on my tank i spend maybe 5 minutes wiping it down with a moist towel. I wait a couple minutes for that to dry. Then, without fail, I see lots of little salt residue dots on the dry areas. So, I take my 'buffing cloth' and rub those off. 'It's good arm exercise,' I say to myself.

I then look it over, everything looks great. But oh no, I notice a frag has fallen, or I forgot to feed someone, or there is a rock that needed to be moved. I'm as careful as I can be- no, I'm not going to drip at all on the front glass. I have a towel at the ready. But no, I take my arm out and there goes the drip, down my elbow and onto the nice clean glass. Here we go again- wipe with moist towel, wait to dry, buff out spots...
Am I the only one who goes through this on a daily basis? I swear I spend as much time on the outside of my tank as the inside! What do you use to clean the outside of your tank?

I mix about 2-3 tb of white vinegar and about a cup of water on a small spray bottle to clean outside the glass and it does not leave any marks/streaks.

I use a atm glass cleaner that has vinegar in it that works good.

I use one of those electronics cloths. It cleans with just water.

I just lick my tank clean to check the mineral content. That's not too unhealthy right?

I use a cloth to wipe the drips. I then clean and polish with Kent Marine glass cleaner. It is really good stuff.

I am the same way. I spend all the time cleaning then my dog has to come to see the fish.wet nose clean glass not good lol.

Spray bottle with 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 RODI is always next to the tank. Cleaning little finger prints left by the grand children is one of my favorite things!
