Just notice my weeping willow seems to be rotting or something in one of the folds. Powerhead got turned off for a week before I realized so didn’t have a ton of flow but turned it back on and saw this. Should I take it out and dip with some iodine or something to help it? What’s best? Or frag it out into a bunch of pieces and Toss out that bad part/area.

Doesnt look like rotting yet. Anyone eating it, i would dip to see if anything comes out and than do a lugols dip. If it continues to deteriorate i would frag, these things are super hardy

I don't see anything eating it. but its on a frag rack semi top of the tank. I'll do that tonight. take everything off the rack and dip it all. thanks for the reply.

i feel like this might be a flow thing. food, detrius gets in that crease and has sat for sometime. as much as they hate it i give my coral a wax and blow once a month.

Totally agree with @Shinji Ayanami
It probably had build up. Keep it in higher flow, toadstools/leathers need moderate to high flow.
It will heal on its own.
