Hey so...I have 2 False Perculas that I have had in my tank for roughly a week now. All of my levels are great as of right now:

pH: 7.9 (yeah little low im working on it)
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0-5

Anyway...my fish are normally active, especially during the day. At night though, when the blue moonlights come on...the smaller one always hangs out on the sand bed...just chillen.

Tonight I noticed (might be doing this everynight but tonight i felt like watching), that the one who seems to be fond of the sand bed was kinda just laying there? lol...I don't know if this is a laughing matter, but is this normal? He was just laying there semi on his side, slowly moving his tail.

I know he wasn't dead of course and tested this by putting my hand in the top of my tank (55 gal). He and the other percula swam right up to it all happy thinking I was going to feed them (I hand feed them so this is what they always do).

The big question is...is this normal for a fish to do at night?
