I have a pitho crab that likes to sit on top of the rock work on his hind legs trying to punch fishes. He’s been doing this for a couple of days now. None of my fish are harassing him and It doesn’t look like he’s trying to defend himself. He seems to be the aggressor here.

None of my other crabs are doing this. They’re all grazing algae like normal.

Any idea what’s going on?

That’s usually just a defensive posture whether the fish are bothering it or not because it’s exposed where it wants to be.
Mine does this when hes trying to grab food out of the water column... not sure if thats the case here though
Whatever he’s doing, he’s continuing to expose himself at the most visible spots in the tank. He would be dead within an hour in my other tank with wrasses and tusk…
