I've had this teal branching hammer for a couples months now. It has absolutely thrived and is currently almost down splitting. Shortly after I got him I noticed these weird white string or tubes. I thought they were maybe a sort of tube worm but when I touched them they gave like string. They were not brittle at all. 2 months later they are still here and have spread all over the skeleton. Hammer has always looked happy and healthy so I'm not really worried. I was just wondering if someone could tell me what these are. Also, don't mind the pink sponge lol IMG-4873.jpg

I see that on my skeletons or rocks. I remember reading it’s some type of sponge. Harmless.
Nice to hear that. I just wish it wasn't such an eye sore lol. But in this hobby I can't really complain if it isn't going to cause me any problems.
