I just bought a wellso brain over the weekend. When I got it home I noticed it was recieding from the skelleton on about 5% of it. The bright white is showing. What can I do to help it repair? what causes this?

Let me tell you I did not see this in the tank or bag at the store. It wasn't until we drove our hour trip home that I saw it in the bag.

Otherwise it looks very healthy. Great color and very fat tissue.

After dipping, try to keep it in a low flow low light area......also, try to feed it sooner rather than later......

dip it interceptor also. I lost my favorite one after a year due to those stupid black bugs. (I believe) I was able to save everything else w/an interceptor dip but 1 out of my 3 wellisos (of course my favorite and $$$ one) did not make it.

Thanks so much for all the tips. This is what I love about this forum. No judging just help!

I dipped it in CoralX the first day I brought it home. Should I dip it again? I do not have Intercepter. I will move it to a low flow/ light area.

I have tryed to feed it mysis shrimp, but did not have any luck. Should I try something else?

I get raw frozen scallops and cut one into 1/4 in. pieces then turn off flow, reach in the tank and drop a piece right on it's mouth, then watch to see that it eats it, instead of your fish fanning it off with there tails. thats my problem with my fish. I feed them in the morning just before i turn on my lights. I feed them every 3 days.
