Hey all, figured I’d post up some new pics! I upgraded to a 125 gallon I got for a good deal from a local reefer(props to willie if you know him or your on here!). I basically built a new Rec room around my tank with remote basement sump. Basically a reeftank, guitar and tv room. I did everything by myself, new waterproof subfloor, carpet wainscoating, paint, new powder room, paint, sent the tank plumbing through the wall down to the basement sump and water change setup. The floor is designed so that if the tank leaks it runs under the subfloor and down to the basement where it drains to the sump pump (instead of flooding my new carpet and room). Very happy with how it turned out. I really like that I can work on the tank while my family hangs in the same room! Anyways, keep on reefing my western NY people’s!

Very nice - good work! It's definitely nice to have the tank in the room that gets the most use. You'll be much more in tune with keeping it looking good. Very nice carpet anemone!
Is that yellow tang looking a little haggard - or is it just the picture?

Thanks everyone! Sadly the yellow tang pics are a few months old and I actually lost the fish. The yellow tank was in a slow decline for some time. At some point I noticed it was getting thin and I litterally did everything trying to get it healthy again, trust me too, I’m not afraid of nutrients, lol. It just kept withering away and I found it stuck to a powerhead one day. It was one of our favorite fish too. To this day I’m not sure what happened either. I have other tangs that are super healthy. I can’t recall ever losing a fish to disease in my tank either. Oh, well.... Thanks for the compliments!

Well we changed things up a bit, wife wanted her couch space back. My 125 a few posts up is for sale if anybody local is interested. Just recently started an IM nuvo dropoff to save some living room space.

I’m in Rochester but definitely down for trading sometime. I could even put up small colonies for trade if you are in to softies, but I have various other stuff too. I’ve also been toying with the idea of starting an oldschool, hobbyist only, western NY reefer club, with actual meet ups. Think anyone would be down for that? Everyone is so busy anymore so I’m not totally sure it would work... It would be an awesome way for us hobbyists to trade and maybe avoid some of the outrageous retail coral prices, plus we could get an up close look at each others setups.
