What’s a good way to diy a lid?

I am wanting to make a mesh lid for my nano tanks (standard aqueon 10 gallons) and am wondering if anyone has made anything like that? Not to sure where to start with this tbh any materials that would work better than other?

You can buy the kit at Home Depot window screen it all comes together like 15 bucks.

I’ve also always made mine with the window screen frame. Assuming they’re the standard rimmed tanks then the window screen kits are incredibly easy to make a diy lid with.

You just need the frame (and a way to cut it), the corner pieces, the mesh, and spline to hold the mesh in. You can also get a spline roller for cheap that makes it easier to get the spline into the groove on the frame.

Sturdier also. I always use aquarium sealant to hold the corner miters/connector together.

I ordered some stuff from amazon to try to do my own, stuff comes tomorrow. Ill make a post if it worked and share what I did! If I dont post means it totally didnt work

No it worked just not for an eel which I ended up getting and ended up buying one
