Hi, so I’ve had this mushroom coral for about 6 months but I’m not sure what’s going on with it. It seems to be slowly receding or dying on its left/upper side in the picture and kind of changed since I first got it. It’s been doing this for a few weeks now. Also, you can notice it’s showing a green underlayment type thing that I’ve never seen until then also? Before I couldn’t see that and it was just more full and uniform looking. 38F483C4-D9C2-4D65-8622-2426DEEDACF8.jpeg 38021F0C-7A6E-4F22-9AB1-8A40F37729CD.jpeg

Tank specs and lighting specs are necessary for figuring this out
The mushroom coral is at the bottom of the tank. It’s a 180G 6x2x2 and running 3 kessil a360x lights ramp up from 10-1, 90% from 1-8, and ramp down from 8-11.
PH: 8.0
Nitrates: 15 PPM
Phosphates: .01 PPM
Alkalinity: 8.15 dkH
Calcium: 475 PPM
Magnesium: 1455 PPM

Green foot looks like it’s popping a Baby possibly walking and leaving small pieces could be a last effort to self prop befor death or just splitting imo looks like it’s splitting

Interesting, so do they tend to walk or do that when they are splitting? More than likely nothing to worry about? Or maybe more of a sign of something else wrong?

One other thing I noticed is how his mouth is kind of protruding or gaping open like that? It wasn’t doing that at first. It’s kind of worse now too 796B2DA4-ECE8-4260-A3EE-B6D5779725C1.jpeg

Hi, So this mushroom did end up splitting, and now both look more happy and it has been a few months. However, they have turned green since just before splitting and lost their orange red colors. They have not come back yet. What could cause this?
