What’s growing on my war coral?

Started noticing these little tubes growing on my coral/plug. There’s maybe 3 or 4 growing around the perimeter. I have had this plug for about 6 months and have never noticed anything like this.
This might not be relevant but I did loose my copperband about 3 weeks ago. All other fish were fine and perameters were correct.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated !
*I haven’t noticed anything coming out or into the tubes. Could be feather duster but haven’t seen any signs of that

Looks like a vermetid snail there are several thread on how to get rid of them.
