Bare bottom, sand or marine pure type media?

Live rock, chaeto, other type on algae?

Protein skimmer, media reactor, etc?

ATO (which chamber) & Dosing (which chamber)

Thank you!

Little GAC and Phosguard in a bag in bottom of sock holder, and a Tunze 9410 dc skimmer. Also keep some pond matrix in an old onion mesh bag for seeding QT. No sock, no reactor. Gravity RSR ATO...that's getting a bit tiresome and need to upgrade.

Nope. Ill throw a blue/white sponge in my filter holder on cleaning days for the next 24-48 hours or when I dose lanthanum, but that's about it.

Filter socks, skimmer, UV, carbon in the first area of sump
Sea lettuce, red ogo, and a couple pieces of marine pure rocks in a bag for the fuge.
No sand or anything, sand in a sump isn’t a great idea IMO, it’ll just get too dirty.

My tank has two drains that drain into left and right chambers of my sump. Both have filter socks. Left chamber has the protein skimmer and used to have a biopellet reactor. Couple of extra pieces of live rock in there too. Middle chamber just has my return pumps and again, a couple pieces of extra rock. Right chamber has a sand bed, quite a bit of rock and caulerpa prolifera.

I feel nothing too fancy. It is a 55g sump so I have a little room to play with.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
