What do you consider a “ridiculous price”?
All liverock from the ocean will be a lot more expensive than dry rock, and you will also have to ship it in water adding to the cost
I never had L R shipped in water alway’s shipped in wet newspaper

I miss the day’s of the 45lbs of Walt Smith premium Fiji live rock for $199 shipped from the good old Flying Fish Express, that place was the best ever
Yeah, but all of the biodiversity that I paid for gets killed also your butt did a test and gulf and Indo live rock has the best biodiversity score.

150lbs of premium GLR wrapped in newspaper and delivered to my door.
Out of the ocean and into my system within 24hrs.
It worked out to just under $10 a pound. Well worth the $, imo.

Beautiful looking! Would 55 lbs be too much for my IM Nuvo 50 gallon? 30"x24"x16"
I have about 15 lbs of rock I've had in a nano for 2 years I will be using too. Would 35 lbs be enough?

My system is IM ext 170 59×30×21.7.
135g's in the display. I covered the area in 4-7" height. 19" from bottom to surface.

It would depend on you vision for your scape.

I also have the ext 50 and display volume is around 35g's.
35lbs + your 15 should work well depending on what you want the scape to look like.
You only have around 14" to the bottom glass from the waterline so if running sand it will be even less.

I really like what you did. It looks like fish can hide in the middle well and you can create a cyclone for good flow .
I might want a couple pieces on top in the middle. I am going to have a sand bed though.
It is $120 less for the 35 lbs but I could also use the pieces I like the most if I got the 55.

hmm.. decisions decisions..

Nice. I run sea sweeps so I have one of the best random flow option around, imo.
With my scape you wont see the rock in 2 years so the flow will be ideal. I only need 2 powerheads.
My old 120 had 6.

What exactly are you trying to do?

You’re setting up a new 125g tank…. But don’t want to spend the money on rocks to set it up….
You want live rock from the ocean but don’t wanna pay for it.
People have mentioned dry rock and you don’t want that either.

Do you even know what you’re trying to do yourself?
Not trying to be mean or rude but you keep saying no to every suggestion put forward and give no details on what you’re trying to accomplish.

Nobody can help you if you don’t convey what it is you’re looking to do.

Reef tank?
Fowler?

You mentioned “seeding the tank”.
Do you already have dry rock for the tank to use, and that’s why you need some live to seed the rest?
He's basically asking "whats the cheapest live rock out there"....

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
