Curious what this thing is…i have had this rock for about a year ish and it was completely covered in zoas but due to a recent lighting event maybe a month or two ago about 80% of the colony melted. I imagine that exposed this thing to light for the first time in a while. Seems harmless but grows every day. Weird little thing.

Neomeris algae - usually harmless and neat, but occasionally becomes invasive; urchins reportedly eat it if it starts getting out of hand.
